2012 QS World University Rankings Announced that National Taiwan University Made a Leap to the 80th Place, the Best Ranking Ever in the NTU History.
QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) has just announced the 2012 QS World University Rankings on September 11th, and National Taiwan University was ranked as the 80th place, making a progress from the 87th in comparison to the ranking last year in 2011. This is the best ranking ever in the NTU history over the past years.
The ranking standard and the evaluation of the QS Would University Rankings are based on the international academic prestige, the comments from the employers among corporations, the publication, the quotation and the references of the research papers by the faculty, the proportion of the students and the teachers, the numbers of the international teachers and students. So that QS helps students to view the top universities in the world, and it is one of the most trusted world university rankings available.
National Taiwan University has made a giant leap from the 87th place to the 80th on the 2012 QS World University Rankings, and the total score of the ranking has risen from 66.6 to 69.9 (from 2011 to 2012). The massive rise of National Taiwan University is led by the quotation of the research papers, which are from the NTU faculty’s paper amounts. It presents that both the quality of the academic paper and the research plans are having a stable and continuous development.
