Prof. Kevin Tseng Awarded 2022 Early-Career Investigator Research Achievement Award.

In order to encourage young scholars to conduct in-depth research and make significant contributions, Academia Sinica confers the Early-Career Investigator Research Achievement Award to young scholars with original, internationally competitive and potentially influential research accomplishments. The list of this year’s awardees have been announced. Congratulations to Associate Processor Kevin Tseng from NTU’s Department of Finance for winning this award in the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Prof. Tseng holds the EMBA Alumni Elite Chair in Finance at the College of Management, and the Chen-Yung Outstanding Scholar in the National Taiwan University. Before joining NTU, he was a Financial Economist in the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and an Assistant Professor of Finance in the University of Kansas’ School of Business. Professor Tseng has a broad research interest. He has published in the areas of intangibles, asset pricing, disclosure, innovation, corporate finance, and behavioral economics. His articles have appeared in leading scholarly journals, including The Journal of Finance, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Management Science, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Contemporary Accounting Research, and the Journal of Economics and Management Strategy. In 2022, he received the MOST Outstanding Research Award, and in 2015, he received the WFA Cubist Systematic Strategies Ph.D. Candidate Award for Outstanding Research.

Prof. Tseng appreciated recognition from the reviewing committee of Academic Sinica. He also thanked all the support from research partners, family, and friends. “I would like to thank all the teachers, colleagues, and students I have worked with on the path of research. I will continue to make breakthroughs in research in the future.” With the recognition of the Early-Career Investigator Research Achievement Award, Prof. Tseng will surely continue with his tireless dedication to his mission as a scholar.
