UiO is the oldest and largest university in Norway and also one of the most reputable institutions in the Scandinavian region. In addition to a historic theology faculty, UiO also operates several museums, including the Natural History Museum, the Museum of Cultural History, and the Museum of the Viking Age. UiO produced seven Nobel laureates, and an impressive list of prominent figures, including the incumbent Norwegian King, Queen, and UN officials, are alumni of UiO.
