NTU’s delegation to Eastern Europe, led by President Chung-Ming Kuan (管中閔) and Executive Vice President Chiapei Chou (周家蓓), headed for Poland to sign MOUs with the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) and the University of Warsaw (UW) on September 12 and 13, respectively.

With a student body of around 37,000, WUT is one of the most eminent universities of technology in Poland. While at WUT, the delegates met with faculty members specialized in the fields of electrical engineering and computer science, civil engineering, and mathematics. The delegation also toured labs at the university and discussed the directions and models of future research collaboration.

The MOU signing ceremony with UW was held on September 13. Following the ceremony, the delegation and UW discussed and worked out plans for future collaboration in the fields of mathematics, electrical engineering, and Chinese language and literature.

The delegation’s visit to Poland sparked fruitful discussions between the delegates and the hosts. NTU would like to thank Ms. Ru-Fang Liu (劉如芳), secretary of education at Taipei Representative Office in Poland, for providing invaluable support to the agreement signing and exchange activities at Warsaw.
