NTU Delegation Strengthening Ties with Partner Universities in Israel

NTU’s Associate Vice President for International Affairs Jiun-Hao Lee led NTU’s Deans of Colleges of Liberal Arts, Law, Social Sciences, and Public Health to visit the University of Haifa.
President Chung-Ming Kuan recently led a delegation to Israel. The delegation was composed of NTU’s senior administrators, including Executive Vice President Chiapei Chou, Vice President for International Affairs Hsiao-Wei Yuan, Vice President for Academic Affairs Shih-Torng Ding, Vice President for Research and Development Pai-Chi Li and several Deans from NTU’s Colleges. This meaningful trip not only deepens diverse partnerships between NTU and partner universities in Israel but also opens up new possibilities for future collaborations with corporations in Israel.
During this trip, NTU established and strengthened the partnership with four of the most prestigious universities in Israel, including signing a university-level agreement and student exchange agreement with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Technion International, known as MIT in the Middle East. Also, NTU and the University of Haifa became partner universities, enhancing the visibility and popularity of NTU in Israel. NTU and Tel Aviv University have also reached a consensus on collaborations between both universities, including jointly investing research funds to promote international collaborations between professors and researchers from both sides.
In addition to visiting NTU’s partner universities in Israel, the delegation also had a wonderful tour at Mobileye, which has just been acquired by Intel and went public this year. Mobileye is a company developing autonomous driving technologies and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including cameras, computer chips, and software. In the future, NTU students will have the opportunity to apply for an internship at Mobileye through the selection of NTU’s Office of International Affairs. The delegation also paid visits to other reputable corporations such as Ramot, IN-VENTech, and Seatback, drawing this meaningful trip to a perfect end.
